Everyone probably knows the British rock band Deep Purple with their style, which is characterized by the sound of the Hammond organ, distinctive guitar riffs, improvisation, driving rhythm work and distinctive vocals.

The live performances of Jon Lord, Ritchie Blackmoore and Ian Paice are still remembered, even though Deep Purple broke up in 1976 after numerous quarrels. The members formed successor bands such as Rainbow, Whitesnake and Gillan, in which their music found a musical legacy. Deep Purple is still considered a pioneer of hard rock and one of the pioneers of the resulting metal.

Only female Deep Purple tribute band in the world

But there are numerous tribute bands that are dedicated to Deep Purple's songs, including the tribute band "Strange Kind of Women", who now bring Deep Purple's greatest hits to life live on stage. The world's only female Deep Purple tribute band from Udine, Italy, is now going on a concert tour again.

The band consists of five top-class female musicians from Italy and is a welcome change in the male-dominated landscape of hard rock. The group consists of guitarist and founder Miss Eliana Cargnelutti, singer Alteria, Margherita Gruden on keyboard, bassist Paola Zadra and drummer Chiara Cotugno.

The program includes all “Made In Japan” classics

The band “Strange Kind Of Women – The Classic Deep Purple Years”, founded by the Italian guitarist Eliana Cargnelutti, brings the songs from this legendary album to the stage faithfully and with a breathtaking show. Every Deep Purple fan knows “Made in Japan”… For many fans, the Deep Purple double live album “Made In Japan” is still the highlight among the band’s many releases and is considered a milestone in the history of hard rock and the Watched heavy metal. They not only present the Deep Purple songs in a most charming way, but they also interpret the pieces with so much joy and power that many of their male colleagues turn pale. The program includes all “Made In Japan” classics such as “Child In Time”, “Smoke On The Water”, “Strange Kind Of Women”, “Highway Star” and “Space Truckin'” which are performed with a bombastic sound.
