- Written by Portal Editor
As already announced, in the coming days and publications we want to point out important, technical and innovative innovations from the various exhibitors and suppliers during the Düsseldorf Caravan Salon, which will soon open its doors!
For better clarity, we start with the companies starting with letters R to Z, then we continue with the subsequent letters. For all companies mentioned, the hall and stand numbers are also included.
Rapido, Hall 16/C06
The French manufacturer Rapido is presenting four fully integrated motorhomes from its Distinction series at the CARAVAN SALON 2024. In two lengths of 7.54 meters and 8.15 meters, the customer can choose between two variants with a queen-size bed or longitudinal single beds. The fully integrated models are based on the Mercedes Benz Sprinter.
Reimo VanConcept, Hall 15/A45
The Hessian converter of compact camper vans is showing two new products in Düsseldorf: the new Trio Style based on the Ford Transit Custom and an extension in the Ford Tourneo Connect.
Reich, Hall 14/C07
Clean fresh water on the go is the theme of the myclean®water filters from Reich Water Solutions. An activated carbon filter can be retrofitted individually in a caravan or motorhome or in conjunction with a filling filter between the water hose and tank, a UV lamp in the water tank and a built-in filter between the fresh water tank and the water pipe system.
Revotion, Hall 13/F32
Revotion is adding a sensor for measuring fill levels to its networking system for motorhomes. The "Node Level" can read the fill level of gas bottles and transmit it to an app on the smartphone via the "Brain" base station.
Rimor, Hall 11/B60
The Italian manufacturer Rimor, which belongs to the Trigano Group, is adding two new models to its converted Horus series vans. The Horus 12 has an unusual floor plan for a campervan that is only 5.41 meters long. In the rear there is a French longitudinal double bed next to a slim sanitary room. The transverse bed in the rear of the Horus 54, which is also new and just as short, is more conventional.
Rimor is also showing the new Bliss series with 14 new semi-integrated and alcove models on the new Fiat Ducato. With lengths between 6.42 meters and 7.30 meters, the Bliss series offers a wide range of options for two to six people. The models are aimed primarily at a price-conscious target group.
Rhön Camp, Hall 15/B28
The new Rhön Camp Renegade is an all-wheel drive motorhome on a Mercedes Benz Sprinter. On the chassis, Rhön Camp uses a GRP living area with real glass windows, an open space concept with rear seating group and fold-down bed and furniture made of natural materials.
Robeta, Hall 15/B13
The Slovenian van manufacturer has announced the Ares 56, which is only 5.51 meters long, for the CARAVAN SALON 2024. Five people can travel in it and up to six people can sleep in it.
Rocket Camper, Hall 15/D46
Known for spacious van conversions without a bathroom, Rocket Camper is presenting a new version of this theme on the new Fiat Ducato. The Swabian manufacturer is transferring the floor plan of the Rocket One M to the now more affordable version of the Rocket Base.
Roller Team, Hall 10/B23
Roller Team is bringing two new models of its converted vans from the Livingstone series to the CARAVAN SALON: the 6 XL model with an electric lifting bed in the rear and the Livingstone 7 model with a pop-up roof and five sleeping places.
The Kronos Fit series on the Ford Transit is also new. It initially includes three partially integrated models based on the Ford Transit. All three are designed to be as compact as possible with a body width of 2.15 meters and lengths between 5.99 and 6.69 meters.
StarVan, Hall 12/E03
The new Starvan brand is presenting its converted vans on Mercedes Sprinter in two versions: with rear-wheel drive under the name "Cruiser" and with all-wheel drive as "Rebel". The highlight of both: a rear extension turns the 5.93-meter-long vehicle into a 7.13-meter-long motorhome when used as a residential vehicle.
Stellantis, Hall 16/D42
At the Stellantis Germany GmbH stand, visitors to the CARAVAN SALON can find out about the latest variants of the Fiat Ducato, Citroen Jumper, Opel Movano and Peugeot Boxer. The latest generations of the four basic vehicles for motorhomes can be recognized externally by subtle design changes. They are powered by the latest engines with the Euro 6E emissions standard. Additional electronic driver assistance systems and safety systems are now standard on board. These include, for example, tire pressure measurement, emergency braking assistant, lane departure warning, traffic sign recognition, fatigue warning and intelligent speed assistants.
SoliferPolar, Hall 11/A03
The Swedish caravan manufacturer Polar is reorganizing its entire product portfolio. Polar is showing four new series in Düsseldorf: Blue Edition, Chimera, Blueline and Blackline. A total of 20 new caravans await visitors at the Polar stand. The Swedish models are particularly valued for their winter resistance and extensive equipment options.
Space Camper, Hall 15/A50
The Hessian manufacturer has announced the Classis+ based on the VW Multivan for the CARAVAN SALON 2024. It will offer five seats and five sleeping places.
Sun Living, Hall 10/A29
The entry-level brand of the Slovenian manufacturer Adria is adding the Ford Transit as a base vehicle to its range for the 2025 season. Five models from the semi-integrated S series and two models from the alcove A series will be built on the Ford chassis. The floor plans are therefore equipped with an engine with 130 or 165 hp and a choice of six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission.
Tabbert, Hall 4
With the new Cazadora series, Tabbert is presenting the successor to its Da Vinci models at the CARAVAN SALON 2024. Seven floor plans will be offered to customers for the 2025 season. A solid construction with a walkable roof and a sound-insulating decoupling of the top layer from the structure ensure restful peace in the living space. Warm, dark wood contrasts with white furniture flaps in the interior. Together with the felt elements of the wall panels, a dignified ambience is created.
Tabbert is also adding the 620 TD Profi 2.5 floor plan to the Bellini series. The model is intended to appeal primarily to long-term campers who use it all year round.
Ten Haaft, Hall 13/A53
The new Oyster® Access sets up a WLAN network in the motorhome or caravan. The system consists of a router installed in the vehicle and an external antenna installed on the roof of the vehicle. The connection between the router and the external antenna is made via four particularly high-quality coaxial antenna cables. The system establishes an Internet connection via a mobile LTE connection or via a local WLAN at a campsite or parking space.
Terracamper, Hall 15/B51
Off-road campervans are the focus of the Terracamper conversion company. With the new Tecamp, they are now showing an expedition-ready camper van based on the Ford Transit Custom with four-wheel drive. Four seats and four sleeping places are available in the interior and in the pop-up roof.
Thitronik, Hall 14/B30
The alarm system specialist from Eckernförde has expanded its electronic burglary and theft protection WiPro III to include transponders with NFC modules. The alarm system in motorhomes based on the Fiat Ducato, Ford Transit, VW Crafter, VW T6/T6.1 and Mercedes Benz Sprinter can now also be secured or deactivated with various NFC modules such as key chains, bracelets or chip cards. To do this, the camper simply holds his NFC module to the windshield from the outside.
Vanexxt, Hall 12/C79
The two new camper vans from the Franconian conversion company Vanexxt based on the Ford Tourneo look fast. No wonder, since they were created in cooperation with the tuner Irmscher.
VanTourer, Hall 1/A01
VanTourer is expanding its portfolio for the 2025 season with the Ford 550 D model. The van conversion is based on the Ford Transit with a length of 5.50 meters. Further details are not yet known.
Vario Mobil, Hall 5/C05
With the Perfect 1000, Vario Mobil is showing what is possible in the luxury liner segment. The 18-ton luxury vehicle based on the Mercedes-Benz Actros 1846 leaves nothing to be desired with slide-outs and a car garage. The models are designed and equipped according to customer requirements. Only the finest materials are processed with the greatest craftsmanship. The basic price is still in the six-figure range. After customization, seven-figure prices are more the norm.
Volkswagen, Hall 16/D52
Its ancestors are already icons of the camping movement. The new Volkswagen California will be presented at the CARAVAN SALON 2024 and wants to follow in their footsteps with the four expansion stages Beach, Beach Camper, Coast and Ocean. For the first time, the camper van has two sliding doors, the heavy bench seat has been replaced by two individual seats that can also be converted into a bed. Sleeping is also possible under the characteristic folding roof. For the first time, plug-in hybrid engines are also available for the campervan.
At the same time, Volkswagen is showing the further development of the Crafter. The facelift of the basic vehicle for motorhomes has hardly changed externally. New features include the electronic parking brake and the automatic selector lever designed as a steering column lever, as well as a larger central touchscreen with 10.3 and optionally 12.9 inches. The emergency braking assistant including cyclist and pedestrian detection, the lane departure warning system, the traffic sign recognition, the speed limiter and the acoustic parking aid for the rear area will be part of the standard equipment in the future. A number of other safety assistants are available as options.
Weinsberg, Hall 4
Weinsberg is showing six floor plans of its expanded CaraBus van series in Düsseldorf as the Fire Edition. The well-equipped vans are intended to attract customers primarily through their attractive package price. A navigation system, reversing camera, awning, ambient lighting and insect screen door are included.
The new Weinsberg X-Pedition 600 MQ campervan is compact and, if desired, also suitable for off-road use. The van, which is converted into a Mercedes Benz Sprinter just under six meters long with optional factory four-wheel drive, is designed for two people. The waterless Cleanflex toilet from Knaus enables a combined bathroom: to make room for a shower, the toilet is pushed back into the rear storage space. The transversely installed double bed in the rear is supposed to be 1.98 meters long.
Webasto, Hall 13/A60
Air Top Pro 25 is the name of the new auxiliary heating system from Webasto. It produces warm air with a maximum of 2.5 kilowatts from diesel, petrol or HVO.
Westfalia, Hall 15/E04 01-02
Westfalia is now putting its new compact camper van Club Joker Urban on a Ford Transit Custom. Two sliding doors and individual seats in the rear characterize the layout. Sleeping takes place under the pop-up roof typical for this vehicle class.
Westfalia is also adding the 600 D model to its James Cook series. An eye-catcher is a continuous widening of the body at window height on the driver's side between the B and C pillars. This not only increases the sleeping area of the transversely installed rear bed, but also the space in the seating area and in the bathroom.
Yucon, Hall 17/B44
Yucon is adding the compact V-City to its Mercedes Sprinter van conversion. At just 5.93 meters long, Yucon is building a classic transverse bed layout for two people into the rear-wheel drive Sprinter chassis.
Zenec, Hall 14/D03
In Düsseldorf, Zenec is presenting the new Z-N538 infotainer for motorhomes. The device leaves navigation to the smartphone via the Android Auto or Apple Carplay interface. DAB+ twin tuner and FM provide radio reception. Two USB ports, micro SD card reader, Bluetooth function including hands-free calling ensure further integration of mobile devices. Two inputs are available for rear-view cameras. The integrated amplifier can deliver 50 watts each to four speakers.
