Varied program for mobile leisure
In addition, visitors will find accessories, extensions, tents, mobile homes, holiday destinations and camping and motorhome pitches in 16 halls and the outdoor area. This year, too, the CARAVAN SALON DÜSSELDORF will offer an informative and entertaining program with special shows, specials and many events in addition to the exhibitors' offerings, which will make a visit to the Düsseldorf exhibition center a real experience.
Preview Day with Opening & Livestream
Open Air "Starter World"
The popular Starter World is the first address for everyone who is just discovering mobile travel for themselves. This year, the popular special show is open air in the open-air area between halls 10 and 16 and helps beginners to find their way around the extensive trade fair offering and find the right vehicle. The independent experts and experienced campers answer questions and are happy to pass on individual experiences and solutions to beginners. In addition, a varied stage program provides even more information and inspiration. Interesting short presentations and interviews on caravanning practice, vehicle selection, functionality, vehicle rental and much more offer real added value.
Adventure of self-conversion
Sample parking space in the open air
This year, the Caravaning Industry Association is once again presenting innovative solutions in the field of parking space technology and infrastructure in a special exhibition on the open air area between Halls 10 and 17. Rally for children
Variety is guaranteed at the rally for children in Hall 7. Children and families can get active at various stations. A rally pass takes you to the photo wall, the jumping fun and the big game of skill. Creativity is required during a painting activity. Things get tricky with the quiz, the animal tracks game and the magnetic wall. And the best part: While the children are having fun, families can explore the exhibition hall 7 with the Travel & Nature area at their leisure. The participation passes are available in hall 7 at the German Hiking Association at stand D21 and at the participating stations.
Fantastic caravanning trips and fast-paced EOFT films
In the dream tour cinema in hall 1 / 1st floor (room 16), viewers can experience exciting caravanning destinations again this year. Konstantin Abert, Janette Emerich and Uwe Hamm show visitors impressive impressions of dream countries near and far. The entertaining shows include the following destinations: Iceland & Faroe Islands - A dream of fire and ice, the Silk Road in your own motorhome, the Pan-American Highway - South America from Tierra del Fuego to the Caribbean (Part 1), the Pan-American Highway - Central America from Panama to the USA (Part 2), motorhome experience Turkey - From the Bosporus to Ararat, France - From the Loire to the Atlantic, Transafrica - From Cairo to Cape Town and Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego.
Faster, higher, further - that is the motto of the European Outdoor Film Tour (EOFT). On the "Travel & Nature CONNECTED" stage in Hall 7, the EOFT crew will give a glimpse of the spectacular diversity of outdoor and adventure sports on Friday, September 6th at 6 p.m. When the protagonists get going, the world is turned upside down - and so is the screen. The EOFT film experience is free for visitors to the CARAVAN SALON
Trial show with Tom Öhler and meet & greet with Leonie Meyer
Converting a motorhome is one thing, but what is it like to travel around the world in it? Sabine Hoppe and Thomas Rahn spent six years traveling around the world in an individually converted vintage truck on one of their many tours. They crossed 54 countries on five continents, crossed 75 borders and covered 120,000 kilometers. In a live photo report, Thomas Rahn tells us about the two eventful journeys through Southeast Asia and North America in Düsseldorf. The Far East and the Far West are both dream destinations for a tour in your own camper. Just as the two parts of the world are in stark contrast to each other, the reality of traveling there is just as different. At the CARAVAN SALON on Saturday, September 7th, Thomas Rahn will be speaking in the open-air area in front of Hall 14 (Stand 03, special exhibition Adventure Self-Conversion) from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. about the beautiful, exciting and also challenging moments of the journey through Southeast Asia and North America. He will provide insights into the unexpected hurdles that await on such a journey and the tricks and tips that can be used to find ways to continue the journey even in seemingly hopeless moments. Trade fair visitors can look forward to a very special show of contrasts.
E-bike course in front of Hall 15
Cycling is one of the favorite hobbies of many caravanning fans. E-bikes in particular are very popular and are often used for tours between the campsite and the destination. In the open-air area in front of Hall 15, the "E-bike course" offers visitors the opportunity to try out the driving characteristics of electric bikes, e-scooters and electric scooters in a separate area.
Fun and action for kids
Even the youngest ones will get their money's worth at this year's CARAVAN SALON. As in previous years, a great program with hands-on activities, fun, games and lots of highlights awaits the young visitors in the open-air area in front of Hall 16. The Düsseldorf City Sports Association is transforming part of the open-air area into an exciting adventure park on both weekends. Children and young people can let off steam to their heart's content with the varied fun and sports activities.
