Finally out again, one could say, because it should go to the Vanlife-FERROPOLIS, a three-day open-air event on the peninsula of the Gremminer See near Leipzig.

With its premiere, it is celebrating the new, free way of camping on Germany's most exciting campground.

From July 16 to 18, the organizers will not only offer unusual parking spaces on a peninsula in the middle of Lake Gremmin to  the participants, surrounded by five gigantic open-cast mining excavators.

The festival attracts visitors to its premiere with a multifaceted program of trade fair, workshops and lectures on everything to do with caravanning and vanlife, supplemented by yoga, stand-up paddle and beach sports on the beaches.

Interested parties have the opportunity to purchase day tickets on site at the box office on Saturday and Sunday, with which they can visit the exhibition grounds. The program offers workshops and lectures, they are exclusively reserved for weekend ticket buyers.

We're going into the second round: You can camp again on FERROPOLIS: with a tent, camper or mobile home.

In the middle of the open-air museum, surrounded by five gigantic opencast mining machines and on the shores of Lake Gremmin, our guests can expect the most unusual camping experience of this summer: beautiful days and nights for nature and technology lovers who love something special.

The tour across our "Gemini": Nowhere is one step closer to the story of FERROPOLIS.

During the tour across the “Gemini” spreader, which weighs almost 2000 tons, you can follow the path of the spoil over the 60 meter long boom.

The technology is fascinating and tells of everyday life in the former Golpa-Nord opencast mine.

The excavator can be walked on independently from a distance.

All visitors are asked to observe the general recommendations and rules of conduct for the containment of infections (sneezing hygiene, keep your distance, wash your hands).
