Kuşadası Beaches -choose between sand and rock
- Written by Portal Editor
It is possible to find various sandy or rocky beaches all around the town of Kuşadası. Some of them are private beach clubs where you have to pay an entrance fee to use the facilities and some are free public beaches.
Some are pebble beaches. The number of blue flags at a beach symbolizes the quality of the water.
Three flags means the cleanest water.
The most popular beaches are Ladies Beach, Kalamaki Beach in the national park, Kuştur Beach and Pamucak Beach.
Ladies Beach

Behind the hotels there are the summer houses, usually belonging to the locals, small pensions and a small bazaar where traditional and modern handicrafts are available.
Every Sunday during the summer the area becomes very crowded with Turkish holidaymakers. It is a region of Kuşadası which should not be missed.

Kuştur Beach
The Kuştur is one of the cleanest beaches in the region and offers showers, toilets, sunbeds and umbrellas. Water sports and a beach volleyball court will attract those who like an active holiday. The area around the beach, with its one kilometre sandy shore, was renovated by the local authority in 2000 to make the area more attractive for holiday makers. There are also pebbly areas near the water’s edge. The lovely cafes and restaurants become busy during the lively evenings. The beach gets busy with local holidaymakers on Sundays in the summer.
Do not hesitate to visit this area and see at least one sunset from the beach. It is a wonderful experience. The sea is suitable for those who like to relax in the clear water and also those who like playing in the waves because it is usually calm in the mornings and livelier in the afternoons.
Pamucak Beach
The beach is busy on Sundays, especially with local holidaymakers but, due to its size, it does not look too crowded.
