If, despite the corona-related visitors restriction, a welcome colleague surprisingly announces himself as a stopover on his journey and also speaks of his feeling of hunger, who, next to it, is also a well-known, true apple fan, you should of course treat him with hospitality.

So how good when at least a basic stock of apples is available and you still have a few minutes before your friend arrives. So quickly get into the kitchen, quickly peeled a few apples, cored and cut into pieces of about 1 centimeter in size. Then put the cut apples in a large bowl, drizzle with a little lemon juice to prevent them from turning brown too quickly, pour a pack of vanilla sugar on top and a little cinnamon covering it and then mix, the basic stock is ready.

Preheat the oven if you need to

The oven can now be heated to around 200 ° at the latest. If you want to be even faster, you can set the control to 180 ° air circulation.

And then it's time to manufacture the crumble. Typically english German, why crumble? Sounds good? You could also just say streusel. But well, it should taste good later.

We need about 160 grams of flour, 100 grams of brown sugar, a pinch of salt and 100 grams of butter to make our crumble. Put the flour into another bowl, add sugar and salt and don't forget the butter. It is helpful to shred the butter a little. Knead briefly with your (hopefully washed) hands to form a crumbly dough. And done already.

Fireproof baking pan, bowls or cups

Now place the apple pieces on a flat, fire-proof baking pan and distribute them evenly. Then our sprinkles are used, which are distributed on the apples. If you like it, you can sprinkle another layer of cinnamon on top of the mixture. Those with a sweet tooth among us will be delighted by the crumble, so top it off with crumble.

Now slide it into the hot oven and the colleague with his sweet tooth can come. Just a few minutes have passed so far.

The baking process is done in about 20 minutes and steaming apple crumble is on the table. It is best to serve it warm, so wait until the guest comes in through the door. If you want to top it all off, you can also serve some vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. Of course, you can sprinkle the apple crumble with powdered sugar if I want.

In addition, a lovely cup of coffee and the next stopover is guaranteed to be requested again due to the small hunger in between.
