A few weeks ago we received an email with the following content from Mrs. Kirsten Ettrich-Örtel from Özel Antalya Koleji, which we are happy to reproduce in the original wording, because our subsequently agreed visit to this school and the integration into the event there could not have been initiated any better:

As a result of the releases of our Roman Roads project tour calendar, we had received an invitation from the Potters' Association to go to Menemen, a town well known to us by name on the route between Izmir and Canakkale.

Coming from Vienna, this time we drove via Hungary in the direction of Belgrade, where we had decided in advance for another campsite right on the banks of the Danube.

It finally came, the day we had been working towards for so long: today the handover of the caravan is to take place as part of an in-house exhibition for four Fendt caravan models at a large garden centre in Rain am Lech.

After the handover of the caravan in Rain am Lech, it first went to Kitzingen, where various camping equipment was waiting to be accommodated in the future mobile home.

The first stop as part of our cultural project "Understanding and cultural journey along Roman roads" was the Camping Platz Wien West, which at the time of the start of the journey, at the end of March, was the only open camping site in Vienna.

In this rapidly developing technology age; on one hand, humanity destroys the nature, on the other hand, the nature continues to impress the humanity. Some people have been discovering the blessings and the beauty of the nature because nowadays nature means freedom for the humanity.

The walk through the Hamburg Camping Fair was once again worthwhile, as we noticed a concept car for the first time, which our activities of traveling and reporting on the Internet

As already described in the article "Roman milestones, also called miliarium", column-shaped milestones on the Roman roads recorded the distances to the nearest main town.

When it comes to ancient buildings, one automatically thinks of Rome with its completely intact Pantheon or the gigantic ruins of the Colosseum.

Now the inclined reader may say to himself, no, not even here with building instructions, hints and tips for converting a conventional car into a camper.

The day our journey officially started, came around at last on April 4^th, 2014, Friday. Our project, which is called “Journey of Culture and Intimacy along the Roman Roads”, was the most important part of ceremony day program.

The fair Tourism & Caravan Leipzig is Central Germany's largest travel fair and we have taken the opportunity to participate with our previous project work on installing interesting campsites and camper stops into the existing camper route across the Balkans and  resulting from the project work introducing our partially guided camper tours passing Albania, Macedonia and Greece.
