Olympic Winter Games Sochi will start soon

Now it's almost time, the first athletes have already arrived. A week before the start of the 2014 Winter Olympics, the Russian hosts opened the Olympic Villages on the Black Sea coast and in the mountains.
«As we all know, Russia is famous for its hospitality. We will do everything to make everyone feel comfortable and at home here, »said the mayor of the Olympic village on the coast, the world pole vault champion Elena Isinbayeva in an interview on Thursday.
The 22nd Winter Olympics will be held in the Russian city of Sochi from February 7th to 23rd. The country and location of the event are not without controversy. In addition to the Russian government's approach to planning and building the Olympic facilities, it is above all the issues of "freedom of the press and opinion, civil rights and a lack of democratization" that give cause for criticism.
Turkey is also taking part in the Winter Olympics. As announced by the Turkish Olympic Committee, the Turkish team will take part in the Olympic Games with the following six athletes: Alper Uçar and Alisa Agafonova in figure skating, Kelime Çetinkaya and Sanahattin Oğlago in cross-country skiing, and Tuğba Kocaağa and Emre Şimşek in alpine skiing . A total of three thousand athletes will fight for medals in 15 basic disciplines.
