From Hohenlohe to Lake Constance: Around 150 exhibitors present the diverse travel options in Baden-Württemberg at the CMT.
From the hills of the Hohenlohe region in the northeast, to the vibrant state capital Stuttgart to the picturesque Swabian Sea, Lake Constance: Baden-Württemberg is diverse and offers countless beautiful experiences. Visitors to the CMT will experience how exciting the state is as a holiday region. From January 13th to 21st in the Oskar Lapp Hall (Hall 6), around 150 exhibitors from Baden-Württemberg will impressively demonstrate that you don't have to travel very far to find your dream vacation.
The varied landscapes with their impressive views are a paradise for all cycling and hiking enthusiasts. The countless routes pave the way for well-known classics and new highlights on foot or by bike between the Electoral Palatinate and the Breisgau. Anyone who wants to follow in the footsteps of the Romans on the Limes hiking trail or embark on a pilgrimage on the Franconian-Swabian Way of St. James will get their money's worth in the south. Those interested can find information about the numerous options for an active holiday in the south at CMT.
A trip for the whole family
There is also a lot to discover for families. The multitude of varied excursion destinations such as the Swabian Alb cave adventure world, a zeppelin tour on Lake Constance or amusement parks such as the Schwabenpark or Tripsdrill make a holiday with children an unforgettable experience. The exhibitors' stands in the Oskar Lapp Hall (Hall 6) of the CMT holiday fair reflect the diverse holiday options in the southwest and are aimed at every age, every weather and every type of family. Thanks to this wide range of offerings, the state of Baden-Württemberg received the “family holiday” quality seal, which recognizes particularly family-friendly holiday destinations.
Let your mind wander
The large selection of spas and health resorts make Baden-Württemberg the number one spa region in Germany. From the spas of the Swabian Alb such as Bad Ditzenbach to the Stuttgart thermal baths in the state capital, to the health resort of Bad Peterstal-Griesbach in the Black Forest, those interested can find out about the variety of wellness options in the “Water Kingdom of the South” at the holiday fair.
Baden-Württemberg is not only known nationwide for its spas, but also for its top-class gastronomy. Swabian specialties such as Maultaschen or Spätzle are no longer insider tips. The wine south with two of the best wine regions in Germany presents itself at the trade fair with wonderful everyday wines and upscale top wines. Those interested can, for example, get a small taste of the excellent wines at the Weingärtner Esslingen stand at the holiday fair.
Cultural highlights in the south
The South will also be presenting itself at the CMT with all its cultural highlights. These include historical buildings such as Hohenzollern Castle, colorful gardens such as those at the 2024 State Garden Show in Wangen im Allgäu, or the Porsche and Mercedes automobile museums in the city of Stuttgart. Further cultural highlights in the coming year will be the games of the European Football Championship in Stuttgart, the Ornamenta 2024 and the celebration of the 1,300th anniversary of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Reichenau Monastery Island.
Tourismus Marketing GmbH Baden-Württemberg (TMBW) will be represented at the CMT with a joint stand. Andreas Braun, Managing Director of TMBW, is looking forward to the upcoming holiday fair: “We are very much looking forward to being able to present the state of Baden-Württemberg with all of its beautiful facets at the CMT. The south offers many special excursion options and unique moments – there is guaranteed to be something for everyone.”
