Hall 9 is all about biking and hiking
Whether on foot or on two wheels: CMT visitors can actively discover the world from Stuttgart on the Bicycle & HikingTravel from January 13th to 15th. Active holidays are booming and the variety of offerings can be seen at the three-day subsidiary trade fair in Hall 9: The range of more than 250 exhibitors ranges from attractive destinations at home and abroad to attractive cycling and hiking trips to the right equipment and technology. A fresh tailwind: innovations and trends from the bicycle sector
Bike fans who are looking for an overview of all the new products and trends at the start of the year should mark the first CMT weekend in red in their calendar. In the bicycle sector, you can expect a wide range of bikes with and without electric drive - including gravel bikes, cargo bikes, trekking and mountain bikes as well as the folding bikes that are popular with campers. The new favourite bike can be tested directly on the 1,600-meter course in the heated tent next door. Accessories from helmets to saddles are available directly on site and some at the trade fair price. The highlights include an indicator set that fits every type of bike and ensures increased safety. Representatives from regions, countries and organizations provide valuable tips and inspiration. Information and advice about bike-friendly restaurants as well as children and cycling come from partner ADFC Baden-Württemberg.
Hiking on Schuster's horse in the theme park
The popular hiking theme park is back in full size. Visitors can look forward to the most beautiful routes and destinations in Germany - including the Swabian Alb, the Black Forest, the Palatinate and Thuringia - as well as from Poland, Portugal, Spain with Mallorca and Catalonia, France, Belgium, Slovenia, Luxembourg and many other European one’s countries are happy. You can find the right equipment on site, and thanks to the outdoor advice, choosing the right shoes, clothing, poles and backpacks isn't too difficult. Diverse program on the lecture stage and in the adventure cinema
“Which e-bike is right for me?” or “How do I navigate with a smartphone and GPS?”: An exciting mix of lectures and demonstrations on the main stage on all days of the trade fair will provide information on these and other questions. The topic of ergonomic cycling is completely new on the stage. Destinations and organizers exhibiting in the adventure cinema offer travel inspiration - from micro-adventures on your doorstep to travel reports from all over the world. These include hiking and cycling tours through the Rocky Mountains, the Balkans and the Tian Shan Mountains in Central Asia. As every year, the quality trails and quality regions “Wanderbares Deutschland” as well as the “ADFC quality routes” in Baden-Württemberg will be honoured on stage (Foto: Landesmesse Stuttgart).
Local and wanderlust comes into play with the live reports, multi-vision shows and films about biking and hiking in the adventure cinema. Things will be particularly exciting here on Sunday at 1 p.m. when Gunnar Felau reports on his “workpacking tour” through Germany. The cycling expert loaded his household and office onto the e-cargo bike and “home office” and “bikepacking” became “workpacking” for him.
Lasting holiday memories
For everyone who doesn't want to leave anything to chance when it comes to photography, there will be a suitable stand on site from January 13th to 15th as well as from January 18th to 21st. Hobby photographers can get information and advice about cameras, accessories and equipment from well-known brands.
