Regensburg Festival of German - Turkish Literature

Regensburg Festival of German-Turkish Literature & Encounter

This year, our cultural festival, which is literature oriented with integration main theme, will be organized for the first time in the city of Regensburg in Germany’s Bavaria State and your visits during the festival will make us happy.
Throughout the festival, besides of dynamic discussion and conversation platforms, reading activities, workshops, music and theater performances; the booths of books, travel and musical instruments with catering booths will be ready to serve you.

Editor’s Note: Located on the northernmost point of the Danube River, the city of Regensburg will host to the Turkish – German Literature and Culture Festival event that will be organized within the concept of our cultural and intimacy project along the Roman roads. Regensburg is one of the precious German cities that has history back to the Ancient Roman Empire and even to the Celts. The city, whose ancient name is Casta Regina, continues to establish cultural and commercial connections between modern societies by means of “Roman Roads” as in its history.
We work for building bridges between the individuals and societies, overcoming the prejudices and removing the borders with our festival that Turkish and German culture leave its mark on.

Reading activities with the members of the East Bavaria Writers Union, Lale Akgün and Nevfel Cumart, discussion platforms, reading activities of German and Turkish writers are the focal points of the event and cultural activities also play big role in intimacy. Besides, “Travel” is another subject of literature festival that offers the opportunity to learn about not only a country, but also geography and general knowledge of this country with the programs and books that successful travel writers will present.

Throughout the festival, you can have a good time with the concerts, various music programs, theater and the cuisine specialties of Turkish – German cultures. If you are not interested in literature, you can join to listen to the music. If you are not interested in music; theater, different tastes or acquaintance of different cultures, meeting or intimacy may attract your attention.
