It is rare to come across such a treasure as we were lucky enough to have during the Caravan Salon Düsseldorf, even if it is not something that interests everyone, the design and technology of 1951 were fascinating.
Camping vehicles from Notin have a very long history and were built very successfully 100 years ago and have maintained a reputation for quality, design and innovation in vehicle construction to this day. The Notin company has been building high-quality vehicles by hand in France since 1921.

As already mentioned, Notin's success story began in 1921, when the company was the first manufacturer in the world to produce caravans. For over a century, Notin has worked continuously to perfect its models, always placing French know-how and craftsmanship at the forefront. This rich tradition and experience are reflected in every Notin motorhome to this day.
It is clear that in the 1950s, accessories and technology were not so easy to find in the "camping trade" as any self-builder can easily order them today. You had to rely mostly on commercially available products, from the toilet bowl or the hinge fittings on the door.
And that is precisely what makes the vehicle so special, the row of skylights that can be opened as folding windows made of wood is already an eye-catcher.

Ultimately, it is the many small details that always amaze us. The entire interior is made of real wood, the doors of the cupboards are made with frames and fillings, the floor is covered with linoleum.
Two sofas facing each other, which are used for sleeping and for relaxing, are covered with fabrics that still show colour and joy today.
Just a little of this in today's often monotonous, even boring interior design would do many a modern vehicle good.
There is an impressively large bathroom with toilet and sink, a kitchen that spreads amazement and admiration due to its built-in details. In short, they already knew back then what makes the customer's heart beat faster.

The partially integrated motorhomes start at €78,900 and the fully integrated motorhomes start at €101,000. Notin offers a variety of different floor plan variants, the vehicles stand out at first glance with their incomparable, modern, top-class aircraft design.
The Bilbao BCL and Castello BCL models in particular were designed and built for the German market.
