Wildlife Park in Izmir - newly opened!

It was a quick decision during our stay in Izmir to take a day off for visiting to the new opened İzmir Wildlife Park.

And arriving over there we were surprised about the seize of the Park and the mostly natural materials used for all the animal cages, the walk ways and all other animal facilities.

Plants of the Tropical Garden were a splendor

Even it was much too hot the day for really enjoying the Park, we took the time to walk all the way through and tried to see as much of the different species as possible. But even some of the animal species from African orign did not really like the weather condition and so better stayed in the shadow of their shelters. Brave as we were, we continued all the way through and at least could enjoy to see some rare species as well as all the well known animals of bigger European Parks.

Quite impressive we found the construction of the building and for sure the plants of the tropical garden. Couple of them were showing lovely flowers and you were really forced to check for the details in the hidden places. As well the shown samples of snakes were quite interesting to watch, even their cages were too small, as we thought.

To find an answer if it is worth visiting the İzmir Wildlife Park a quick and clear yes is the answer!

İf you can choose a day in the spring or autumn it can be a really wonderful day out. For sure as well, a couple of years later lot of the now young trees will have grown and then offer more shadow on the ways and places, which we were looking for.

On the way out we got a quick drink and some fast food and found the quality-price ratio quite ok. Even for a family with couple of chidren it should be possible to have a quick meal over there.

Our resume for the İzmir Wildlife Park: Once visiting İzmir it can be a nice alternative place to go after shopping or business to calm down and relax.

The İzmir Wildlife Park is open every day, including Sundays and holidays between 09:00 and 18:00.

The entrance fee to the Izmir Wildlife Park is 30 TL in 2024

Children under 6 years of age can visit our park free of charge every day. You can visit the Izmir Wildlife Park by purchasing a “Park Token” at the ticket offices or by using your IZMIRIM CARD.

Students and teachers can visit the park free of charge during school trips.

Opening hours:

The Izmir Wildlife Park is open all year round. (Closed on Mondays for maintenance.) You can visit the Izmir Wildlife Park on weekends, special days, festivals and holidays. The Izmir Wildlife Park opens at 09:00 every day.

The park's closing times vary during the summer, spring and transition seasons depending on the length of the day, changing weather conditions and the behavior of the animals in natural daylight.

To get to Sasalı Wildlife Park, you can take bus 777 from the Bostanli ferry dock. Visitors arriving by private vehicle can use the park's parking lot free of charge..
