Cesmealti Village - Urla Camp Municipality Beaches
- Written by Portal Editor
Cesmealti, which is about 35 kilometres from Izmir, has become a lively, natural centre of tourism.
If you are a vacationer in Çeşme and want to swim, you have dozens of different options. On the one hand, there are public beaches that are free or inexpensive, and on the other hand, there are beach clubs that charge an entrance fee but also offer entertainment and food. Çeşmealtı Blue Beach combines these two options in one place.
Çeşmealtı Blue Beach
This beach, which is 45 kilometres from Izmir city centre, consists of two different parts. While one part of it is used as a public beach, the other part is used as a beach club. Swimming over the fine sandy beach is a lot of fun. Since the sea is shallow and pleasantly cool, it is a great address for children and novice swimmers.
The beach and the adjacent pier can be used free of charge. If you want to rent a sun lounger, you have to pay a fee. Çeşmealtı Blue Beach can be extremely crowded at weekends. If you want to swim in a quieter place, you should choose weekdays. The fact that the beach is a popular destination for people from Izmir means that it is often crowded at weekends.
The seemingly endless beaches, which ultimately stretch from Cesmealti to Içmeler, are responsible for the number of residents increasing two to three times as much in the summer as in the winter. On the public beaches of Urla, the Urla Camp Municipality Beaches, the natural beaches and the pool facilities in the holiday villages are in operation all year round. The beach areas at Malçaka Içmeler are also very beautiful and are also maintained almost all year round.
This district is home to Çeşmealtı Beach and Kum Denizi Beach, both of which have been awarded the Blue Flag. There are many coffee houses in the Çeşmealtı district. In addition, Çeşmealtı is known for its night market, which takes place every evening during the summer months.
Güvendik
This recreation area is also located in Cesmealti near Urla and covers an area of 15 hectares in the middle of huge red pine forests. The lake view is excellent and around 500 visitors come every day. There are many picnic areas, most of which have running water and toilets.
The restaurants on the mountain tops of Güvendik offer an excellent panoramic view of the bays and the islands off the coast. The village of Cesmealti itself is known for its really first-class fish restaurants and is therefore also visited by Izmir residents in the evening.
